Meet the Teacher...
My name is Denise Kelly. I graduated in 1997 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology. Ten years later after working for the government in both municipal and federal positions, getting married, and having two wonderful children; I graduated with a Bachelor of Education Degree in 2007. I have taught various grades including kindergarten, grade two, three, four, and five. I returned to University and completed my Master of Education degree in 2011.
I was born in Newfoundland & Labrador and grew up in Grand Bay-Westfield, New Brunswick. In my spare time I enjoy walking, reading, and kayaking. I am learning to play golf! I love to travel, one of my favorite trips was to visit Disney World in 2009. I have been lucky enough to visit some major cities all across Canada - Vancouver, Victoria, Calgary, Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, Quebec City, Charlottetown, Halifax, and St. John's.
I aim to bring an open mind, a positive attitude, and high expectations to school each day. I believe that I owe it to the students, as well as the community, to bring consistency, diligence, and warmth to my job in the hope that I can ultimately inspire and encourage such traits in the children as well.
I believe it is very important to communicate between home and school and will do my best to keep you informed. Should you have any questions, comments, or concerns at anytime throughout the year, please contact me by email [email protected].
